There are about 1/2 as many public companies today as there were in 1997. This is due to a myriad of reasons – too hard, too much regulation, lots of private capital, to name a few.
This is creating a dilemma – more of the growth of some of the fastest growing companies is now accruing to private investors.
The dilemma to investors is where do you go to get growth now? Private Investments need to be part of a modern portfolio – whether it’s late stage growth/buy out, private equity, venture capital, or crowd funding. There are plenty of choices, it just takes time, thought, contacts, research, due diligence, faith, trust and pixie dust.
